At just 13 years old, Sam is already a seasoned competitor, having built several years of experience since first entering the sport at the age of 10. His rapid progression through the ranks has seen him secure Best Novice titles on multiple occasions, highlighting both his natural ability and commitment to racing.

Sam currently sits 7th in the West of Scotland Kart Club (WSKC) standings for the highly competitive Junior Max class. Despite his age, he regularly competes against drivers up to 16 years old, often within larger and more demanding grids. His development is further supported by his position within Saltire Motorsport, a multiple title-winning race team renowned for developing high-performing young drivers.

Looking ahead, 2022 marks a pivotal season for Sam as he commits to a full campaign in Junior Max. The class is faster and significantly more demanding, both physically and mentally, making strong partnerships with sponsors essential. Azurablu is proud to be among those supporting Sam as he steps up to this next level of competition.

A standout achievement in Sam’s career to date includes a 4th-place finish at the 2020 Scottish Championship meeting, often referred to as “The Scottish”. This prestigious event brings together the very best drivers from karting clubs across the country. As Sam’s experience continues to grow, the ambition for the coming seasons is to push further up the grid.

WSKC events are hosted at Larkhall Circuit, located just off the M74 south of Glasgow. The circuit has an exceptional pedigree, having played a formative role in the careers of world-class drivers including David Coulthard, Paul di Resta, Allan McNish, Dario Franchitti, and World Karting Champion Dexter Patterson.
